Most of us have seen or at least heard of the cameo Sam Jackson makes in IRON MAN as Nick Fury recruiting Tony Stark for the "Avenger Initiative" but did any of you also happen to notice that when Stark is taking his suit off after his dogfight with the F-22's, off to the left on his workbench, can be seen what appears to be some sort of prototype of Captain America's shield? Hey yall i promise from now on, its all about the blog. So im gonna blog on this bitch everyday. Its a goal i have and intend to keep. So whats new? Well I lost like 23 pounds in the last 2 months, but now i dont have a gym membership because i have a friend, who shall remain nameless, who did not pay the fees. So looks like im gonna be working out at the gym at work. Its cool cause that shits free. In other news, Im also getting ready for my big pro wrestling comeback in october for www.newwaveprowrestling.com A new and improved me will be in full effect and ready to kick ass. Also I recently went up tp L.A. to spend a day with a kick ass woman. It was an awesome day, we went to the santa monica promenade and the venice beach boardwalk. I really feel comfortable around her and I can totally be myself. We like a lot of the same stuff and she laughs at my jokes, so only the future knows whats in store.

Its been a while since......

I've posted on here. Well alotta stuff has happened in the last few months that have changed my life forever and affected my life. In the beginning of the year I found out that the shitty ass retail store, that I gave my all to for 3 years, was being closed. This in hindsight was not such a bad thing. The only problem was: great now I have to find a job thats not retail. So I decided that for a month I would live off of unemployment and take a vacation that i deserved. Those that know me, know I haven't taken a vacation since I was 19. So it felt good to do nothing, as boring as it was, and casually look for a job. Well lo and behold, into my 3rd week of "vacation" I gotta call from Geico. Long story short, I'm now typing to as a professional licensed insurance agent. Its hands down the best company I've worked for. They really make you feel like they care about your well being. Plus the benefits and pay are awesome. So shortly after receiving my first paycheck, I get a call from my roommate telling me that he's moving to LA with his girlfriend, great know I have to find a place to live. That actually didn't take very long. I found a place in Mira Mesa that's pretty close to my work. So it ended up being a better situation. But, the place didn't have internet. So I've had internet for less than a week. Man I cannot, I repeat, cannot live without internet. Well back to the history lesson at hand, less than a week before I moved, I received a call from my sister. A call from my sister that I would have never expected. She called to tell me our father died. I was speechless. My dad was in great shape and took care of himself. Even now I still can't express how I actually feel with words. But its a strange feeling. I feel like now I know how he always wanted me to feel. Its been along time since I've truly been happy. My dad was always a happy man, even when he didn't have a reason to be. He would always laugh until he cried, even now I picture how he would wipe his tear from his eye with his index finger, which was one of many of his trademark moves. It's kinda strange how this affected me. I didn't cry much at first. But when I went to the funeral and saw my dad, I broke down and couldn't hold anything back. Seeing my brothers and sisters do the same made it even harder. It was the most emotional moment of my life. In those couple of days that I was with my family, I learned a great deal about myself. More than I've learned my entire life. I went through some crazy shit my senior year of high school, and no matter how much that I thought that I was a piece of shit or I wasn't doing enough or etcetera.... My dad would always tell me how proud he was of me. Even later on life, he would always say "Chris, I'm so proud of what you've become and what you've done". That always made me feel good, because I knew he genuinely meant it. My dad was one of the most honest men in the world, to the point he would piss you off because he was right or make you feel like a million dollars. I remember when he came to my first wrestling show and he told me how proud of me he was. He told me I was a natural and that he had a new respect for pro wrestling. You see my dad is a huge sports nut. Hes been a hardcore San Diego Padres and Charges fan for longer than I can remember, and I remember a lot. So for him to say that was one of the best moments of my life. Anyway, what I was getting at was that he wanted all of his kids to be happy, and that hes proud of all of us. Every time I think about him, I get filled with overwhelming love. Anytime I think life is hard, I think about how he always told me how proud of me he was, and it makes life easier. He taught me how to enjoy life and how fun it is to learn. I just wish he could have seen me win a championship. I dedicate every match I do to Frank "Skip" Straka. He was a good American, a great man; but a better father, there is none. I love you dad.

For those who haven't had the pleasure to come to my house, I have a very expansive action figure collection. The first thing people say is "OMG! I can't believe you have this many toys, you fucking nerd!" and then I proceed to throw there ass off of my balcony onto a bum. making sure I don't kill them because they're usually my friend and killing your friends is bad. Anyway my room is a fucking museum. The prize possession of this "museum" you ask? My muthafuckin' Transformers! I have over a 100 of these and I just started collecting them in June, so right before the movie hit. I don't have enough time to post pics today of my collection, but I will post something great. I'm so damn cool that I customized a Barricade toy to have flashing police lights. Yes, I know what you're thinking, "How can this guy possibly be single?" And I say simply, because I wanna spend my money on Transformers.

So Shaun of the Dead is awesome and Hot Fuzz is the shit. What happaneds when these creators take on a Marvel Comics character for their next project?? Pure awesomeness I predict. So after marvel finishes a couple of other movies, they're gonna make Avengers. First Iron Man, and then the new Hulk movie.....oh gawd geekgasm......hmmmm. Anyway I was over at arrow in the head
and lifted the following article:

SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ mastermind, Edgar Wright (above with a zombie), is hard at work at several upcoming projects. The director with the "golden genre touch" spoke recently about one interesting “little” pic in particular—his adaptation of Marvel’s ANT-MAN. Here’s what Mr. Wright had to say:

"It’s written and we’re doing a second draft of it. It’s going to be less overtly comedic than anything else I’ve ever done. It’s more of a full-on action adventure sci-fi film but with a comedic element – in the same spirit of a lot of escapist fare like that. It’s certainly not a superhero spoof or pastiche and it certainly isn’t a sort of 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids' endeavor at all."

Too bad about the “non-Honey I Shrunk The Kids” route. The world is in need of Rick Moranis now more than ever! However, ANT-MAN does sound like an ideal project for someone with Wright’s pedigree. In my mind, the dude can do no wrong. The flick’s synopsis reads like this:

Biochemist Dr. Hank Pym uses his latest discovery, a group of subatomic particles, to create a size-altering formula. Though his first self-test goes awry, he develops an instrument that helps him communicate with and control insects.

Sounds like the usual kind of superhero fare. Let’s hope that Mr. Wright is able to up the ante. (My apologies for the lame f-ing pun. It’s early.)

So I just peeped these out. What is Watchmen you ask?? Only the greatest graphic novel ever!!!!! It's one of Time magazines top 10 greatest novels of all time, not graphic novels of all time, but novels of all time. That's how fanfuckingtastic it is. So I must say the only guy to bring this movie to life would have to be as good as the guy that did 300, one of the other best graphic novels. Oh, what's that you say?? It is the same director and creative team??? Zak muthfuckin' Snyder!!! Awesome, this movie is gonna pwn hard and it will probably give a nerd boner. Anyway the costumes look great. The movie will be released March 6, 2009. Alright so, if you were male and born in the 80's, like me, two things were awesome:

1.Transformers

2.GI JOE

So the first one we got a kick-ass movie, and the second is currently in production. I know GI JOE you say! yes go joe Mother Fuckers. The movie is set to open August 7, 2009 and will be directed by Stephen Sommers. Stephen Sommers has also directed such gems as: The Mummy(cool), Mummy Returns(not bad),Van Helsing(vomit....im not hopeful), and Revenge of the Mummy: the RIDE (magic 8 ball says..."outlook not so good"). So his resume doesn't impress me, maybe the cast will:

Channing Tatum as Duke(WTF?? the guy from step up??? kill me...)

Sienna Miller as Baroness(she's hot but as you can tell from the pictures below from the movie, her hair isn't black.... she better dye that shit!)

Dennis Quaid as General Hawk(sweet!)

Rachel Nichols as Scarlett (she's a ginger and hot!)

Ray Park as Snake Eyes (Snake Eyes > Darth Maul)
